Whenever we get some here in the UK, everything seems to come to a grinding halt (much like Plastic Surgeon's work ethic on a Friday afternoon!).

But amazingly other countries seem to cope admirably, which is why thousands of us Brits head abroad for the winter sports season to enjoy our skiing and snowboarding.

But its not always plain gliding on the slopes as there will be a fair amount of crashes and falling over.

Given how much it could cost you to sort out a potential medical emergency on the slopes, (helicopters are very expensive!) that quick winter break could quickly turn into a financial nightmare unless you choose the right kind of insurance.
