Robber fails miserably

pharmacy_256 Ok Mr Bank robber lets try this again. Two things to remember:

  • DO NOT use the back of your own cheque for your stick up note!
  • A taxi makes a poor getaway car!

We suggest you think about that during all the free time you will have in jail.

Yes, in something that won’t surprise any of you with a shred of common sense, a robber was captured fairly easily on Monday after police noticed that the note he handed a cashier demanding money was written on the back of his own personal cheque!

We really don’t know whether to laugh or cry…

The incident began at a Bank Of America in Ocala, Florida when a man walked in, handed a cashier a note saying he had a .45 caliber pistol and demanded money.

After the cashier complied and gave him the money, he legged it. Witnesses saw the man jump into a small gold car being driven by another man.

Not content with his first robbery the suspect then pulled the same crime at another Bank Of America nearby, several hours later!

In that robbery the man also gave the cashier a note, was given cash and then fled. This time witnesses saw the man jump into a taxi and escape.

Strangely enough, local police managed to locate the taxi not long after the incident with the suspect still in the back.; they then arrested 33 year old Patrick Johnson.

Police were able to link Johnson to the crimes when they discovered that the notes he had written his demands on, were both cheques from his personal account! He was soon on his way to jail!

This guy really could win stupid robber of the year award couldn’t he?
